Julia Ormond

JuliaOrmond was born in Epsom (Surrey) as the daughter of Josephine, who is a laboratory technician , as is John Ormond. Ormond is the 2nd child of five children for her parents. The first time she performed in Guys and Dolls and My Fair Lady attracted attention. Then she attended Cranleigh School and Guildford High School. After one year in arts college, she transferred to Webber-Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art. Her graduation was in 1988. Ormond first appeared on British television in the 1989 serial Traffik which focused on the illegal heroin trade from the far East into the streets of Europe. Ormond played the drug-addicted son of the main character the Home Office minister working to stop the importation of heroin. This first appearance earned him rave reviews.
